Food Contact Compliant Xray Curtain Shielding
This flexible lead free rubber sheet has been specifically developed as a curtain material for use in food xray scanners. Shielding equivalent of 0.125 mm or 0.250 mm Pb has been obtained through replacing Lead with other suitable metals.
Two types of material are available. The first material is compliant with US FDA tests specified under 21 CFR 177.600 (e) and 177.2600 (f) for use in food contact applications. The second is also EU compliant in accordance to regulation (EC) 1935/2004.
The Royal Blue Version can be used to manufacture USDA compliant xray curtains. The custom cut curtains comply with USDA sanitation requirements for meat and poultry processing plants, specified under the USDA Guidelines for the Sanitary Design and Fabrication of Dairy Processing Equipment, part G11. The USDA custom cut curtains can be gapped for easy sanitation. Each curtain position consists of two curtain layers which are overlapped to provide full radiation protection.
